[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 12월 20일 동두천시 새마을부녀회는 새마을회관 2층 회의실에서 유관기관 단체장 등 30여명이 참석한 가운데 송년의 밤 행사를 가졌다고 밝혔다.

이날 송년의 밤 행사는 코로나19 방역수칙 준수를 위해 수상자 등 최소의 인원만이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다고 했다.

장영신 시 부녀회장은 인사말을 통해 “한 해 동안 새마을을 아껴주시고 격려해주신 모든 분들께 감사의 말씀을 드린다”며 “우리 새마을 가족들은 그 역할과 책임을 충실히 수행할 것을 다시 한번 다짐한다”고 밝혔다.

이어 윤광회 새마을운동 동두천지회장은 “새마을운동은 그동안 많은 어려움 속에서도 국가발전과 시대적 과제를 해결하고 보다 나은 미래를 만들기 위해 언제나 큰 역활을 해왔다”면서 “오랜 시간 봉사의 길을 걸어오신 새마을 지도자 여러분의 노고에 감사를 드린다”고 말했다.
