[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 화천지역 취약아동들의 성장과 보육을 지원해온 화천군 드림스타트가 2021년 전국 드림스타트 종합평가에서 대통령상을 수상하는 영예를 안았다고 밝혔다. 

이와 함께 화천군 드림스타트는 우수사례 경진대회에서도 지역자원 연계부문 최우수상을 동시 수상했고, 보건복지부는 올해 평가에서 전국 농산어촌 지역의 드림스타트를 대상으로 사업운영 전반을 꼼꼼히 살핀 끝에 화천군 드림스타트를 대통령상 수상기관으로 선정했다고 했다. 

특히 화천군 드림스타트는 통합사례관리 분야에서 최고점을 받았으며, 촘촘한 사례관리와 맞춤형 통합서비스의 질이 매우 우수하다는 평가를 이끌어 냈고, 또 아동과 가족의 욕구를 적극적으로 파악해 적절한 서비스를 시행하고, 자원의 한계를 극복하기 위해 직접 돌봄교실을 운영한 것이 전국적인 모범사례로 꼽혔다고 전했다. 

드림스타트 사업은 모든 아동에게 공평한 양육여건과 출발기회를 보장하고, 건강한 사회구성원으로 지원할 수 있도록 지원하는 국가 주도의 복지사업으로, 보건복지부는 2년 마다 전국의 드림스타트 사업 전반에 대한 평가를 진행하고 있으며, 화천군 드림스타트는 2009년 취약아동 통합사례관리 시범사업을 시작으로 꼼꼼하고, 세심한 아동 서비스를 제공해오고 있으며, 그 결과, 2015년 우수기관 장관상, 2017년 우수기관 국무총리상, 2020년 우수기관 장관상을 수상한 바 있다고 했다.
