[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 홍천군 화촌면 지역사회보장협의체는 동절기 취약계층 보호 강화를 위해 강원도 사회복지공동모금회와 배분사업 계약을 체결하고 「2021년 따뜻한 겨울나기 물품지원 사업」을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

협의체 지역특화사업의 일환으로 추진되는 이번 사업은 코로나19 장기화로 더욱 힘든 시기를 보내고 있을 저소득 취약가구 또는 위기가구의 난방비 부담을 완화하고 따뜻한 겨울나기를 지원하고자 계획됐고, 재원은 후원문화 확산 프로젝트로 추진 중인 화촌면 릴레이 후원금으로 마련됐다고 했다.

지원 대상 가구는 지난 11월 22일 개최된 제11차 화촌면 지역사회보장협의체 회의를 통해 15가구를 최종 선정, 가구당 40만원의 난방유와 12만원 상당의 겨울이불이 지원할 예정이라고 전했다.

앞서 화촌면 찾아가는 보건복지부서에서는 지원 대상자 발굴을 위해 지난 11월 15일부터 21일까지 7일 동안 협의체 위원, 이장 및 면 복지업무 담당자가 추천한 36가구를 대상으로 상담을 진행했다고 했다.

허은숙 공공위원장은 “이번 난방유 및 겨울이불 지원 사업을 통해 추운 날씨에도 불구하고 경제적 어려움으로 난방 등에 어려움을 겪고 있는 저소득 취약가구의 겨울나기에 힘이 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 도움이 필요한 취약 가구들을 적극 발굴하고 지역 돌봄을 강화할 수 있는 지역복지사업들을 지속적으로 추진해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

한편 전달식은 공동모금회로부터 사업비가 교부되는 즉시 추후 개최할 예정이며, 난방유와 겨울이불은 관내 주요소 및 상점을 통해 해당 가구별로 지원할 계획이라고 전했다.
