먼저, 연휴 전인 16일에는 본청 및 사업소, 읍·면·동이 유관기관 및 직능사회단체, 마을 주민들과 함께 포천시 전역을 대대적으로 청소할 계획으로, 구역을 나눠 방역수칙을 철저히 준수하며 진행할 예정이라고 했다. 

또한, 추석 연휴기간 동안 발생하는 생활폐기물 민원을 해결하고자 오는 18일부터 22일까지 5개조의 대책상황반을 설치․운영하며, 추석 연휴가 시작되는 19일과 연휴 끝 무렵인 22일에는 관내 생활폐기물을 수집․운반하여 시민들의 불편이 발생하지 않도록 적극 대처할 계획이라고 했다.

포천시 관계자는 “행운 가득하고 즐거운 추석 명절을 보낼 수 있도록 관심을 갖고 환경정비를 추진해 나가겠다.”라며 “시민 여러분께서도 사회적 거리두기 준수와 더불어 생활 주변 청결 유지에도 힘써 주시길 부탁드린다.”라고 말했다.
