[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 17일 직장․공장새마을운동양주시협의회와 대한민국카는 백석읍새마을부녀회를 직접 찾아가 메밀막국수와 전병, 만두 총 100인분을 전달했다고 밝혔다. 

이날 전달식에는 고윤구 백석읍장, 구자삼, 황점연 감사, 방흥식 총무, 심남철 홍보이사, 백석읍새마을부녀회원 등 10여 명이 참석했으며, 후원 물품은 직장․공장새마을운동양주시협의회 회원인 대한민국카 최흥식 대표가 후원했다고 전했다. 

오수영 회장은 “평소 백석읍새마을부녀회가 지역사회 봉사에 매우 적극적으로 봉사하고 있다는 장희숙 회장의 말을 듣고 조금이나마 보탬이 되고자 이번에 전달 행사를 하게 되었다” 고 취지를 설명했다.  

한편, 장희숙 백석읍새마을부녀회장은 “직장․공장새마을에서 최근에 어려운 이웃을 도와 주는 것을 잘 알고 있고 고맙다면서 후원 물품은 마을 어르신들에게 정성껏 대접해드리겠다”고 고마움을 표했다.
