[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 20일 직장․공장새마을운동양주시협의회는 제41회 장애인의 날을 맞아 사단법인 경기도 장애인복지회 양주시지회를 직접 찾아가 위생도마 50개를 전달했다고 밝혔다. 

이날 전달식에는 김용춘 새마을운동양주시지회장을 비롯한 방흥식 총무, 황점연 감사, 심권철 홍보부장, 손지수 회원 등이 동참했다고 전했다.

지난 3월 19일 위생도마는 직장․공장새마을운동양주시협의회와 업무협약을 체결한 ㈜삼성전자판매 의정부 금오점에서 후원했다고 했다. 

오수영 회장은 “ 4월 20일이 국가에서 정한 장애인의 날임에도 불구하고 지금까지 이웃에 사는 장애인들에게 도움을 드린 것이 없어 이번에 업무협약을 체결한 ㈜삼성전자판매 금오점과 협력하여 장애인시설에 조금이나마 도움이 되고자 전달하게 되었다”고 취지를 설명했다.  

한편, 홍윤표 회장은 “요즘 코로나19로 다들 어려운데도 불구하고 장애시설에 꼭 필요한 위생도마를 주어 너무도 고맙고 관내 장애인 복지시설에 꼭 전달하여 유용하게 사용하겠다”고 고마움을 표했다.
