이날 사업에는 김용춘 새마을운동양주시지회장, 김지현 은현면장, 이두영 양주2동장, 이주형 회천1동장, 이창열 회천4동장과 김영찬 부회장, 황점연 감사, 방흥식 총무 등 회원사 20여 명이 동참하였다고 했다. 

나눔의 대상은 은현면, 양주2동, 회천1동, 회천4동에 도움이 필요한 재가노인, 소년소년 가장 등에 고르게 나누어 주었다고 전했다. 

오수영 회장은 "최근에 다시 코로나19 변이 바이러스가 기승을 부려서 마음놓고 봉사하기가 어렵지만 그래도 아직 우리 주변에는 어려움을 겪고 있는 사람들이 많기에 맛난 깍두기 김치를 만들어 나누어 주니 무척 행복하고 보람있다”고 소감을 밝혔다. 

한편, 직장․공장새마을운동양주시협의회는 지난 7.1일에도 감자 200kg를 수확하여 양주시 회천노인복지관에 후원하였고 쌀 24kg과 마스크 1,000장을 양주시청에 후원하는 등 상생과 통합을 위한 평화운동으로 지역사회 발전에 모범이 되고 있다고 했다.
