이날 협약식에는 조학수 부시장을 비롯해 이철호 지사장, 기관별 관계자 등이 참석한 가운데 사회·경제적 어려움을 겪고 있는 취약아동의 권리실현과 복지증진을 통한 나눔문화 확산을 위해 상호 간 적극 협력하기로 약속했다고 했다.

협약에 따라 양주시는 저소득 아동가구 사례발굴을 포함한 대상자 선정, 서비스 제공, 자원연계 협업 등 협력사업 전반을 담당하고 한국전력공사 동두천지사는 지역사회 취약아동을 위한 경제적 지원 수행 시 양주시를 통해 우선 지원할 예정이라고 했다.

특히 한국전력공사 동두천지사는 이날 업무협약과 함께 실질적인 도움이 필요한 소외아동의 생활개선을 위해 100만원 상당의 지원물품을 전달했다고 전했다.

조학수 부시장은 “지역사회와 함께 지속 가능한 상생·발전을 목표로 사회적 취약계층을 위한 따뜻한 나눔실천을 이어나가고 있는 한국전력공사 동두천지사의 무궁한 발전을 기원한다”며 “드림스타트 대상 아동들이 건강하고 바르게 미래사회의 구성원으로 성장할 수 있도록 체계적인 사례관리와 맞춤형서비스 지원을 추진해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
