[장선희 기자 = 경기북부] 오는 5월 14일(금)부터 5월 31일(월)까지 의정부영상미디어센터가 '2021 시민 영화프로그래머 양성 과정’의 입과생을 모집하며, 신청접수를 마감하며 신청서류 심사를 통해 10명을 선정할 예정이라고 밝혔다. 

이번 과정은 오는 6월 9일(수)부터 7월 28일(수)까지 매주 수요일(총 8회) 19:00 ~ 21:00(2시간)에 진행되며, 입과료는 전액 무료라고 말했다.    

의정부영상미디어센터는 단순한 영화 관람에서 나아가 상영을 기획하는 적극적인 영화 향유 문화를 형성코자 이번 과정을 개설하게 되었으며, '모두를 위한 극장' 공정영화협동조합 김남훈 이사장을 강사로 초빙했다고 했다. 

이번 과정은 의정부영상미디어센터의 상영회를 직접 기획할 시민 활동가를 양성하는 프로그램으로, 입과자들은 8주간의 교육과 실습을 통해 전문성을 쌓고 직접 의정부영상미디어센터의 상영회를 기획할 예정이라 전했다. 

이번 과정을 신청하기 위해서는 의정부영상미디어센터 홈페이지 커뮤니티 게시판에 업로드 된 신청서를 다운 받아 작성 후 메일로 발송하면 되고, 또한 의정부영상미디어센터는 서류 심사 후 6월 3일(목) 홈페이지를 통해 최종 선정자를 발표할 예정이라고 했다.   

이번 시민 영화프로그래머 양성 과정을 기획한 의정부영상미디어센터 윤기채 사원은 “코로나 바이러스로 시민들의 문화 향유가 침체되어 가는 것을 느낀다.”며 “이번 시민 영화프로그래머 양성 과정이 지역 사회의 문화를 활성화할 수 있는 계기가 될 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”라고 밝혔다. 

한편, 의정부영상미디어센터는 의정부 시민의 영상 활용 능력을 높이고 시민 간의 소통과 지역사회의 원활한 교류를 목적으로 하는 공공미디어 서비스 시설로, 신한대학교 산학협력단이 위탁받아 운영 중이라고 했다.
