[장선희 기자 = 경기북부] 의정부영상미디어센터를 비롯한 경기권역 7개 미디어센터가 '경기도민 미디어 접근성 향상 및 코로나-19 공동 대응'을 위한 연합 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

지난 5월 4일(화) 업무협약식을 비대면 온라인 ZOOM으로 진행되었으며, '의정부영상미디어센터', '고양미디어센터', '군포시민미디어센터', '부천시민미디어센터', '성남미디어센터', '수원미디어센터', '경기시청자미디어센터', 이상 7개의 미디어센터가 참석했다고 했다.

이번 협약을 통해 각 기관은 '공동체 교육과정 운영' 등 상호협력 및 지원', '코로나-19 대응을 위한 협의체 구성', '교육과정 운영 등 효율적 업무 추진과 세부 업무 수행을 위한 상호 협의회 구성', '교육의 질 향상을 위한 교육활동 전반에 관한 사항 등', 기타 공동협력을 위해 적극 협력하기로 했다고 말했다. 

또한 협력을 약속한 7개의 기관은 향후 코로나-19 대응을 위한 합동 실무자협의체 구성, 미디어 공통 강좌 개설 등 다양한 사업을 추진할 예정이라고 했다.

박진식 의정부영상미디어센터장은 “미디어센터가 영상미디어와 도민을 잇는 허브 역할을 적극적으로 수행하여 지역 소상공인을 지원하고 도민들의 문화 향유를 진흥할 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”라고 밝혔다.   

한편, 의정부영상미디어센터는 의정부 시민의 영상 활용 능력을 높이고 시민 간의 소통과 지역사회의 원활한 교류를 목적으로 하는 공공미디어 서비스 시설로, 신한대학교 산학협력단이 위탁받아 운영 중이라고 했다.
