[김준호 기자 =동해시] 동해해양경찰서(서장 최시영)는 지난 18일 가을 행락철 수상레저활동이 증가하는 시기를 맞아, 해양 안전사고 예방을 위하여 관내 수상레저사업장 및 주요 활동지 등 치안현장 점검을 했다고 밝혔다.

최시영 동해해양경찰서장은 금진, 망상, 대진 소재 서핑사업장을 직접 방문하여 레저기구 및 안전장비 등 안전관리 실태를 점검했다.

이어 레저업체 사업장에 대한 애로사항 청취 및 각종 해양안전 사고 예방에 대한 당부와 격려를 통해 사업장들과 유대관계를 강화했다.

또한, 주요 서핑 활동 구역 등 수상레저활동 집중관리지역을 방문하여 레저활동 현장을 점검하고 주요 활동구역과 사고다발 구역 중심으로 안전순찰 강화 할 것을 당부했다.

최 서장은 “가을 행락철 성수기를 맞이해 많은 국민들이 수상 레저 활동을 접하므로 그에 따른 사업장의 안전수칙 준수와 수상레저업체의 주기적인 점검을 통해 수상레저 안전사고 예방에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
