[김준호 기자 =동해시] 동해해양경찰서(서장 최시영)는 오늘(19일) 14시부터 삼척시 상맹방 해변에서 삼척시, 포스코건설, 공단 등 15개 기관 등이 참가한 가운데 2022년 합동해안방제 훈련을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 훈련은 삼척시 한재밑 해상에서 예인선이 선체파공으로 연료유(B-A유) 약 10㎘가 유출, 삼척시 상맹방해변 일대 해안에 기름이 부착되는 상황을 가정하여 현장 교육형훈련으로 진행했다.

주요내용으로는 ▶민간 전문가 및 관계기관으로 구성된 해양오염조사팀(SCAT) 운영 ▶골파기 및 플러싱(범람)을 이용한 물리적 수거 ▶고‧저압세척기, 비치크리너를 이용한 기계적 세척·회수 ▶인력을 활용한 닦아내기 등 다양한 해안방제기술을 현장에 적용하여 훈련을 실시했다. 

동해해경 관계자는 “이번 합동훈련을 통해 지자체와 관련 업체에 해안방제기술 전파와 재난적 해안오염사고에 대한 방제 대응능력을 강화하여 해양 환경 피해 최소화를 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
