[김준호 기자 = 정선군] 정선군(군수 최승준)은 지역특성에 맞는 특례 기초자료를 적발굴해 법안에 반영될 수 있도록 체계적으로 대응해나가고 있다.

군은 지난 19일 강원특별자치도에 대한 정선군 공직자들의 관심도 제고와 국민고향 정선군의 강점을 살리는 특례를 발굴하기 위한  보고회를 개최하고 특례 기초자료에 대한 검토와 논의가 진행되었다.

주요 내용으로는 강원랜드를 폐광지역의 자생력 확보를 위한 카지노업 관련 권한 및 사무의 이양 및 특례를 포함한 폐광지역개발기금 법령정비 및 규제특례, 국가정원 조성 및 지정 확대 등 총 23건의 특례기초자료가 발굴되었다.

특히 카지노업 관련 권 관광진흥법, 관광진흥개발기금법, 사행산업통합감독위원회법의 권한과 사무 일부를 도지사에게 이양하여 폐광지역의 산업육성과 재원 조성을 통한 폐특법의 목적 달성을 이루고자 하는 내용을 담았다.

특별법 개정을 통한 강원랜드 게임환경 개선과 규제 특례를 통해 문화조성과 글로벌리조트 육성으로 폐광지역 발전의 실효적 효과를 기대할 수 있을 것으로 예상하고 있다.
