[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 4월 22일, 고성군은 제14회 기후변화주간 지정 ‘지구의 날’을 기념하여 친환경 녹색생활 실천의 일환으로 지구의 날 소등행사를 진행한다고 밝혔다. 

이에 따라 군은 기후변화주간의 대표적 행사인 ‘전국 소등행사’를 4월 22일 20:00부터 20:10까지 10분간 고성군청을 포함한 공공기관 23개소와 공동주택 14개소에서 실시할 예정이며, 또한, 기후변화주간을 계기로 탄소중립 이슈화 및 기후 행동 확산을 위한 전국 규모의 범국민 캠페인에 적극 동참할 계획이라고 전했다.

임덕빈 환경보호과장은 “소등하는 것이 환경운동의 일환으로써 전국 소등행사에 많은 군민들의 동참을 바란다”며, “재활용 분리배출·에너지 절약 등 탄소중립을 위한 기후행동에도 적극 참여해 주길 당부드린다”고 말했다.
