[김현우 기자 = 가평] 가평군은 제15회 기후변화주간(4.21.~4.27.)을 맞이해 '지구의 날 소등행사'와 '민·관이 함께하는 탄소중립캠페인 활동'을 추진한다고 18일 밝혔다.

오는 22일 제53주년 지구의 날에는 민·관이 전국적으로 참여하는 대표적인 캠페인인 소등 행사를 밤 8시부터 10분 간 공공기관 및 건물을 대상으로  실시하여 지구의 소중함을 느끼는 시간을 가질 예정이다.

또한, 기후변화주간 동안 ‘오늘도 나는 지구를 구했다’라는 슬로건으로 전기 절약, 내 나무심기, 쓰레기 재활용, 전기자동차 보급 등 생활실천을 적극 전개해나갈 예정이다.

또한, 오는 23일 08시에는 탄소중립 실천의 일환으로 가평 잣고을 시장에서 지구의 날을 맞아 가평 로타리클럽이 주관하는 걷기대회 행사가 진행된다.

대회는 가평 잣고을 광장에서 출발해 레일바이크 앞, 자라섬 분수대 등을 지나 다시 광장으로 돌아오는 코스로 진행되며 약 4㎞ 거리다. 

가평군 환경정책과는 걷기대회 행사장에서  2050 탄소중립 실천 계획에 따른 다양한 군민 실천과제를 일목요연하게 정리한 캠페인 홍보물품 보급과 실천서약 서명 운동을 통하여 탄소중립 기후행동을 위한 인식 제고를 추진할 예정이다.
