[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 3월 30일까지, 화천군은 ‘화천군 관광진흥 및 지원에 관한 조례 시행규칙’일부 개정 규칙안을 입법예고했다고 밝혔다. 

사계절 관광자원 강화에 나서고 있는 화천군이 단체 숙박 관광객에 대한 인센티브 대폭 상향에 나섰고, 개정 규칙안에 따르면, 20인 이상(만 6세 이상) 내국인 단체 숙박 관광객이 화천을 방문할 경우 1인 당 1박에 1만원, 2박 이상 2만원의 인센티브가 적용되며, 이는 기존 1박에 8,000원, 2박 이상 1만2,000원에 비해 크게 늘어난 수준이며, 15인 이상의 외국인 단체 관광객에게 적용되는 1박 1만5,000원, 2박 이상 2만5,000원의 인센티브는 현행대로 유지된다고 전했다. 

입법예고를 마친 규칙 개정안은 내달 중 조례규칙 심의위원회 심의를 거쳐 시행될 예정이고, 숙박 단체 관광객 인센티브는 관광진흥 및 지원에 관한 조례 시행규칙에 의거해 화천사랑상품권으로 지급된다고 했다. 

신청 단체는 관광시작 5일 전까지 관광 계획서 및 인센티브 신청서를 화천군에 우편이나 이메일로 접수해야 하며, 숙박 영수증 등 증빙자료는 숙박 당일 또는 그 다음날까지 제출해야 하고, 국내·외 여행사는 지급 신청서를 행사 종료 후 15일 이내 제출 가능하다고 했다

한편, 화천군은 지난 15일부터 18일까지, 전국의 여행사 대표단 37명을 초청해 백암산 케이블카와 파로호 유람선은 물론 평화의 댐, 산소길 등에서 팸투어를 진행한 바 있다고 전했다. 

최문순 화천군수는 “산천어축제가 열리는 겨울 뿐 아니라 사계절 화천의 관광산업을 활성화해 지역경제가 회복될 수 있도록 만반의 준비를 갖추겠다”고 강조했다.
