[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 3월 3일, 의정부시 자금동 소재 의정부계성교회는 자금동주민센터 이웃돕기 창구에 라면 100상자를 기탁했다고 밝혔다.

이날 전달된 라면은 경기사회복지공동모금회의 배분 절차를 거쳐 자금동에 거주하는 소외계층에게 배부할 예정이라고 전했다.

신진선 의정부계성교회 담임목사는 “앞으로도 지역사회의 일원으로마땅히 해야 할 교회의 역할을 충실히 수행할 것”이라며 “추운   날씨가 풀리고 있는 요즘 이번 기탁을 통해 자금동 취약계층 가정이 따뜻한 봄을 맞이했으면 좋겠다”고 밝혔다.

조원상 자금동장은 “코로나19로 어려운 시기에도 소외된 이웃을 잊지 않고 꾸준히 성금과 물품을 기탁해 주신 의정부계성교회에 감사드린다”며 “기탁해 주신 소중한 라면은 꼭 필요한 곳에 배부하도록 하겠다”고 말했다.
