[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 1월 7일 양주시 회천노인복지관은 양주시 소재 품 태권도 연합회에서 어린이들이 손수 준비한 이웃나눔 천사미 3KG 400포를 기탁했다고 밝혔다.

이 날 전달된 쌀은 태권도장 어린이들이 나누고 베푸는 사랑속에서 지역사회와 함께 성장하기 위해 양주시 소재 품 태권도 5곳 ‘옥정점, 덕계점, 덕정점, 대방점, 광사점 등’에서 준비한 것이며, 기부된 3kg 쌀 400포는 지역 저소득 어르신들을 위해 사용 될 예정이라고 했다.

품태권도장 문정섭 관장은 ”코로나19로 모두가 어려운 시기에 제자들의 교육과 지역사회에 긍정적 영향을 주고자 쌀을 기증하기로 결정하였으며, 제자들이 직접 준비하여 준 쌀이 지역에 도움이 필요한 분들에게 소중히 사용됐으면 좋겠다“며 소감을 전했다.

양주시 회천노인복지관 주민정 관장은 “지역 어르신들을 위하여 기부하여주신 5곳의 품태권도 관장님들과 기부에 동참하여 주신 양주시 어린이들에게 진심으로 감사드리며, 소외되는 어르신이 없도록 잘 전달해드리도록 하겠다“고 소감을 말했다.
