가평군은 연말을 맞아 기업, 단체, 개인 등에서 장학기금 기탁 행렬이 이어지고 있으며, 지난 12월 27일부터 29일까지 가평군 체험마을협의회, 가평 농특산물 가공연구회, 썬힐골프클럽, (사)경기도 옥외광고협회 가평군지부, ㈜홍선종합건설, 가평교통㈜, 가평군민 박윤희, 가평군 육견협회 등이 가평군을 방문, 총 1천8백만원에 달하는 장학금을 전달했다고 했다.

김성기 가평군수는 “가평군 인재육성에 관심을 갖고 장학금을 기탁해주신 모든 분들께 진심으로 감사의 말씀을 전한다”며 “전해주신 장학금은 가평군의 미래를 이끌어갈 지역인재들이 꿈을 펼칠 수 있게 하는 소중한 양분이 될 것”이라고 말했다.
