지난 12월 8일 양주시는 부시장실에서 김종석 부시장, 강주현 경기사회복지공동모금회 북부사업본부장 등이 참석한 가운데 ‘희망2022 나눔캠페인’ 출범에 앞서 ‘사랑의 열매 달기’ 행사를 갖고 지역 소외계층을 돕기 위한 시민들의 자율적인 모금 참여를 독려했다고 전했다.

모금 참여를 희망하는 시민은 관내 행정복지센터를 방문하거나 ARS 등을 통해 참여할 수 있고, 모금액은 경기사회복지공동모금회를 통해 관내 저소득 소외계층 지원사업을 비롯한 읍면동 지역사회보장협의체 마을복지사업 등에 사용될 예정이라고 했다.
