농촌자원 활용 교육은 목장형 치즈, 수제커피, 북한음식 만들기 등 우리 농산물의 올바른 정보와 지식, 활용기술 등을 배워나가는 교육으로, 포천시민은 누구나 참여할 수 있다고 했다.

목장형치즈 교육은 유가공 기술교육으로 유제품의 이해와 우유를 이용한 가공기술 보급 등 건강한 먹거리 제공에 의미를 두고 있으며, 수제커피반은 농촌관광분야에 활용할 수 있는 커피 로스팅 1급 자격증 취득을 목표로 추진하고, 북한음식 만들기는 제철 농산물을 활용해 평소 접하기 어려운 북한음식을 배우며 북한의 전통요리와 음식문화를 이해하고 우리 전통음식에 대해서도 생각해 볼 수 있는 교육으로 닭고기 가지냉채, 호박우메기떡, 닭껍질 삼색쌈, 언 감자떡, 혼돈만두 등 북한대표음식을 배울 수 있다고 전했다.

교육담당자는 “마스크착용, 소독 등 방역지침을 지키고 수강인원을 줄여 교육을 진행한다.”라며 “앞으로 농촌자원을 활용한 교육이 활성화되고 다양한 교육이 이루어질 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”라고 밝혔다.
