[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 10월 12일 대한적십자 가평군지구 참사랑 봉사회에서는 가평읍 사례관리 대상가구의 단열도배 및 창호를 교체하는 주거환경 개선사업을 추진했다고 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 홀몸어르신 가구의 따뜻하고 안락한 주거환경개선을 위해 참사랑봉사회 노력봉사와 가평군자원봉사센터 자원봉사 우수 프로그램 공모사업 예산을 지원받아 실시했으며, 대상자의 주거지는 오래된 빌라로 웃풍과 창문이 깨져 단열에 취약한 상태로 경제적 어려움으로 지금까지 수리하지 못하고 방치된 상태였다고 했다.

허인환 회장은“어려운 코로나19 펜데믹 시기에도 어려움에 놓인 이웃을 위해 봉사활동에 참석한 회원들에게 감사드리며, 우리들의 마음이 이웃에게 작은 도움을 드릴 수 있는 이 시간이 보람된다.”며 소감을 전했다.

이에 장동선 읍장은“지역사회의 어려운 이웃을 위해 함께 봉사하는 뜻깊은 자리가 되었고 앞으로도 복지사각지대 해소를 위해 위기가구를 발굴하도록 노력을 하겠다.”고 말했다.
