[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 6일 동두천시는 복잡하고 다양한 위기에 놓인 취약계층을 지원하기 위해 찾아가는 경기도형 긴급복지 신청서비스를 제공했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 활동은 복지정책과 무한돌봄팀에서 고난도 통합사례관리를 제공 중인 가구 중 질병과 체납으로 인해 어려움을 겪는 대상자가 있다는 사례관리의사의 제보를 계기로 지난 7월 27일 오후에 진행됐다고 했다.

이날 건강악화로 인해 시청 또는 동 행정복지센터를 내방하여 경기도형 긴급복지 생계비 신청을 할 수 없다는 시민의 의사를 반영, 코로나19 방역수칙을 준수한 가운데 업무 담당자가 가정에 방문 후 신청서를 접수 받았다고 했다.  

동두천시 관계자는 “복지서비스는 온라인 또는 기관 방문 신청이 대부분이지만 이번처럼 돌봄 가족이 없거나 건강 문제로 세심한 관심이 필요한 시민들에게는 찾아가는 신청도 적극 추진하겠다”고 밝혔다.
