이번 논의된 대상자는 그동안 직장생활을 했으나, 부채 및 우울증에 의한 무기력증이 있고, 폐암 및 뇌까지 암이 전이됐으나, 가족과 지인들로부터의 경제적인 지원이 어려워, 통합사례관리 대상자로 선정하고, 대상자의 복지욕구별 맞춤형 복지서비스에 대한 의견을 공유했다고 말했다.

이번 회의에서는 동두천시청 무한돌봄팀, 동두천시사회복지협의회, 희망지킴이 천사운동본부 등 연계기관에서 담당자 8명이 참석하여, 통합적 서비스를 제공하고, 지역 내 서비스 제공기관과의 연계 및 협력을 통해 대상자의 욕구가 해결될 때까지, 공공서비스인 국민기초수급자 신청과 대상자의 간병비 및 검사비 지원 등 적극적으로 진행하기로 결정했다고 했다.  

시 관계자는 “지역사회가 협력해 다양한 의견을 나누고, 개입 방안을 고민하며, 시야를 넓힐 수 있는 기회였다”면서, “향후 지속적인 통합사례회의를 통해 맞춤형 지원정보를 공유하고, 민·관 협력 네트워크를 더욱 활성화할 것”이라고 말했다.
