[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부] 20일 GH는 고양시 일산동구 GH 고양사업단 부지에서 이재명 경기도지사와 이헌욱 GH 사장, 이재준 고양시장, 심상정･한준호･홍정민 국회의원, 한상혁 방송통신위원장, 지역구 경기도의원 등이 참석 한 가운데 ‘경기고양 방송영상밸리 도시개발사업 기공식’을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

경기고양 방송영상밸리 도시개발사업은 면적 약 70만 제곱미터에 경기 서북부 방송･영상･문화기능 집적 클러스터를 조성하여 원스톱 일자리 생태계를 구축하는 민선7기 핵심 공약사업이고, 경기도와 GH가 공동으로 시행하며 사업비 약 6천700억원을 투입해 2023년까지 방송영상특화단지를 조성하는 내용이라고 했다.

GH는 올 하반기 부지조성공사를 시작으로 내년 부지공급 등 사업을 본격적으로 추진할 예정이며, 이번 사업에 따라 약 3만1천여 명의 고용 창출과, 4조 2천억원 규모의 생산을 유발할 것으로 추정된다고 전했다.

이헌욱 GH 사장은 이날 “도민이 만족하는 방송영상특화단지를 조성하고, 궁극적으로는 문화콘텐츠가 한곳에서 기획-생산-유통-소비되는 성공모델을 실현하겠다”며 포부를 밝혔다.

이날 행사는 언택트 기공식을 병행하여 현장에 참여하지 못한 도민은 온라인으로 실시간 행사에 참여해 함께 축제의 모습을 연출했고, 지역주민 영상메시지를 통해 방송영상밸리 기공을 축하했다고 전했다.
