[김준호 기자=삼척시] 삼척시니어클럽은 한 번 쓰고 버려지는 폐현수막을 수집용 마대로 재활용함으로서 자원재활용과 환견오염방지를 위한 모범사례로 꼽히고 있다.

지난 12일 삼척시청을 방문해 깨끝한 도시환경 조성을 위해 “쓰레기 없는 깨끗한 도시로 만들어 달라”며 폐현수막으로 제작한 대형마대 500개를 기증했다.

재활용품 수집용 대형마대는 '강원랜드 사회공헌재단 지원사업'으로 운영되는 사회통합형 일자리에 참여하는 어르신들이 1년 동안 폐현수막을 재활용하여 제작한 것이다.

시는 기증된 수집용 대형마대를 선별장 내 선별품 보관용과 재활용 동네마당 수거 마대, 가을철 낙엽 수거 공공 마대 등으로 재활용할 계획이다.
