[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 18일부터 양양군은 6개 읍·면에 농지위원회를 설치·운영하며 농지취득 심사를 대폭 강화한다.

군은 올해 ‘농지법’ 및 하위법령이 개정됨에 따라 농지취득 자격 심사를 위해 읍·면별 농지위원회를 구성하며 농지위원회는 지역 농업인, 지역 소재 농업 관련 기관·단체 추천인, 비영리민간단체 추천인, 농지전문가 등 10인으로 구성되었고, 위원 임기는 2년이며 농지위원회 설치를 통해 취득자격 심사를 이전 보다 강화하여 내실 있는 심의를 추진할 방침이다.

농지위원회 심의대상은 △토지거래허가구역의 농지를 취득하려는 자 △양양군 관외에 거주하며 8월 18일 이후 처음으로 관내 농지를 처음으로 취득하려는 자 △1필지 농지를 3인 이상 공유취득 하려는 자 △농업법인, 외국인 및 외국국적동포 등이 다.

농지위원회는 법정 처리기간이 14일임에 따라 월 2회 농지위원회를 개최할 예정으로, 신청자가 제출한 농업경영계획서 등을 기준으로 농업경영 실현 가능성 여부, 농지 투기 사전방지 등 심도 있는 심의를 거쳐 농지취득자격증명서가 발급된다.

군 농업기술센터 관계자는 “농지위원회 운영을 통해 농지취득 자격심사를 강화해 농지 투기 및 불법행위를 방지하고, 효율적인 농지 관리가 될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
