[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 4일 최문순 화천군수는 군농업기술센터에서 ‘유가·농자재 가격 상승에 따른 농업인 단체·농협 간담회’를 개최하고, 직접 회의를 주재했다고 전했다. 

이날 간담회는 올해 우크라이나 사태 등의 영향으로 곡물, 비료, 농약, 유류가격이 급등하자, 이로 인한 농가 피해를 최소화하기 위해 마련됐으며 간담회에 참석한 농업인 단체장들은 하나 같이 살인적인 상승세의 비료와 유류, 농약 등 기초 농자재 가격으로 인한 고통을 호소했다고 밝혔다. 

실제 화천군이 조사한 올해 주요 농자재 가격 추이를 보면, 20㎏ 요소비료 값은 현재 2만9,000원으로, 지난해 말 1만1,000원 대비 무려 163.6% 폭등한 것으로 나타났으며 이 밖에 모든 올해 군이 보조한 농자재 가격은 공산품인 제초매트와 흑백필름을 제외하고, 모두 두 자릿수 상승률을 기록하고 있으며 지역 내 12개 주유소를 조사한 결과, 면세유 가격은 지난 1월 휘발유 952원, 경유 989원, 등유 915원이었던 것에 비해 지난 6월 휘발유 1,448.4원, 경유 1,603.1원, 등유 1,421.8원으로 최소 60% 이상 크게 상승했다고 했다. 

이날 간담회에 참석한 논․밭작물 재배농가들은 “기초 농자재 가격 상승을 농산물 시장가격이 따라가지 못해 피해가 커지고 있다”고 호소했으며 화천군 주력작목인 오이와 호박, 과수 재배농가들은 “농자재 인상폭이 농가에서 감당할 수준을 넘어섰다”며 “지원이 절실한 상황”이라고 강조했고 축산농가 역시 “사료와 조사료 가격이 작년 말보다 20~30% 뛰었다”며 “아프리카 돼지열병으로 인한 이동제한까지 겹쳐 사료의 운반과 환적 등 물류비용 증가도 큰 걱정”이라고 밝혔다. 

최문순 군수는 “다른 분야보다, 농업의 문제가 가장 분초를 다툰다고 판단해 의견수렴을 위한 간담회를 마련했다”며 “일반 시설물 지원은 다소 늦추더라도, 예산과 법․제도가 허용하는 범위 안에서 가장 시급한 기초 영농자재와 유류비 등의 지원 확대방안부터 심도 있게 검토하겠다”고 말했고 “행정은 물론 농업인과 농협, 축협 등도 지금의 위기를 극복하고, 농업인 피해를 최소화하는데 적극 동참해 달라”고 당부했다.
