최근 백신 미접종과 돌파감염 등으로 인한 지역내 확진자가 증가하는 상황에서 최문순 도지사도 추가접종에 나선 것이며, 강원도는 11월부터 고령층 고위험군 등을 대상으로 면역 확보를 위한 3차접종을 실시하고 있다고 전했다.

추가접종 대상자는 기본접종을 완료한 18세 이상 전 도민이며, 접종 간격은 접종완료 후 3개월, 면역저하자와 얀센백신 접종자는 접종완료 후 2개월부터 추가 접종이 가능하다고 했다.

최 지사는 “접종을 완료했더라도 수개월이 지나면 백신효과가 감소했을 가능성이 높고, 최근 위중증 환자도 늘고 있어 도민께서도 적극적으로 3차접종에 참여해 주시기를 당부드린다.”라고 말했다.
