[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 원주시보건소는 깨끗하고 안전한 외식환경 조성을 위해 관내 식품접객업을 대상으로 음식점 위생등급 지정을 위한 기술지원 신청 홍보에 박차를 가하고 있다고 밝혔다.

현재 식품의약품안전처에서는 식품접객업 중 음식점과 휴게음식점, 제과점을 대상으로 위생등급을 부여하는 제도를 시행하고 있으며 평가항목은 3개 분야(기본, 일반, 공통) 64개 항목으로 이뤄지고, 90점 이상이면 ‘매우 우수’, 85점 이상 90점 미만은 ‘우수’, 80점 이상 85점 미만은 ‘좋음’으로 등급이 부여되며 등급이 부여된 업소는 표지판 부착 이외에 영업장 내외부에 표시물의 게시를 통해 광고할 수 있고 해당 영업장에서 조리한 식품을 포장·배달하는 경우 포장지 겉면에 등급 지정 내용을 표시해 광고할 수 있다고 했다.

한국식품안전관리인증원에서는 위생등급을 부여받기 전 음식점 위생등급 부여를 위한 현장 맞춤형 기술지원 업무를 무상으로 실시하고 있으며, 이에 원주시보건소에서는 관내 음식점을 비롯해 휴게음식점, 제과점 영업자를 대상으로 기술지원 신청 관련 안내를 하는 등 적극적으로 홍보하고 있고 위생등급 지정을 위한 기술지원 신청은 연중 운영되며, 제출서류는 1) 기술지원 신청서, 2) 개인정보 제공동의서, 3) 위생등급평가 신청동의서 및 확약서 3가지를 팩스나 전자우편으로 제출하면 된다고 전했다.
