홍천군은 28억 4,600만원을 투입, 내면 행정복지센터 내에 위치한 노후 직원 관사 등 3개 동을 철거하고 지상 3층 연면적 897.89㎡ 규모의 총 20세대(투룸 1, 원룸 19)가 거주할 수 있는 직원 관사를 신축할 계획이며, 착공은 3월 기본 및 실시설계가 완료됨에 따라 오는 5월 중 실시할 예정이라고 했다.

공사가 완료되면 세대별 원룸에는 빌트인 냉장고와 드럼세탁기, 전기렌지 등이 갖춰져 공간의 효율성을 높이고, 이중단열창 설치로 단열효과를 확보할 계획이라고 전했다.

한편 내면 행정복지센터는 지난 1995년 건축된 관사에서 직원 17명이 생활하고 있으며, 현재 사용 중인 관사는 27년이 경과하면서 노후화 되어 유지·관리비가 증가하고 잦은 공사로 인해 직원 이용에 많은 불편을 초래하고 있고, 이에 따라 군은 면장 관사와 가족동 관사를 제외한 직원 관사에 대한 신축을 추진하게 됐다고 했다.
