[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 23일 오전 강원도관광재단은 서울산업진흥원과 서울산업진흥원 본원에서 서울 중소기업 근로자 강원 지역 워케이션 진행을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

양사는 장기화된 코로나 상황 속에서 새로운 업무방식으로 급부상한 *워케이션 관련하여 서울 소재 약 35,000여개 중소기업 대상 지원 프로그램을 마련, 대한민국 대표 워케이션 지역인 강원도에서 업무와 지역 관광을 동시에 진행할 수 있는 기회를 제공 할 예정이라고 밝혔다.

강원도관광재단은 작년 초부터 워케이션 특화상품 기획 및 출시 등으로 국내 워케이션 시장을 개척하였으며 워케이션 상품판매를 통해 전년 동기 대비 주중 체류관광객 25% 증가와 기업들과의 프로그램 시범운영을 통해 워케이션 문화 확산이라는 유의미한 성과를 얻기도 했다고 전했다. 

이러한 경험과 습득된 전문지식을 바탕으로 서울 중소기업 재직자 전용 워케이션 프로그램이 기획될 예정이며 숙소와 근무공간 제공과 강원도 지역 특색에 맞는 서핑, 요가체험, 숲 트레킹, 재직자간 네트워크 파티 등 다양한 프로그램으로 구성 될 예정이라고 밝혔다.

또한, 프로그램 이외에도 플로깅, 지역 내 봉사활동 등 단순 관광 형식이 아닌 지역 사회공헌을 하는 ESG요소를 추가 기획하여 완성도 높은 워케이션 경험을 제공할 예정이라고 했다.
