[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 1월 26일, 전흥표 정선군의회 의장은 영월군 동강시스타 파인홀에서 열린 제224차 강원도시군의회의장협의회 월례회에서 지방의정 및 지역사회 발전에 기여한 공로로 전국시군자치구의회의장협의회에서 주관하는 '전국 지방의정봉사상'을 수상했다고 밝혔다.

전국 지방의정봉사상은 전국 시·군·구의회의원 중 의욕적인 의정활동으로 지역발전에 기여한 공이 크고 주민을 위해 헌신 봉사하는 의원들에게 수여하는 상이라고 했다.

제8대 정선군의회 후반기 의장인 전흥표 의장은 재선을 통한 그간의 풍부한 의정활동 경험을 바탕으로 의원 본연의 임무를 충실히 수행하고 있으며, 특히 폐광지역법 개정과 알파인경기장 사후 활용 등 굵직굵직한 현안 사항 해결을 위해 적극 노력해 왔다고 전했다.
