오는 11월 15일 오후 2시, 강원도개발공사는 원주밝음신협과 공공플랫폼 건물 매매계약을 체결하고 리모델링을 통해 맞춤형 공공플랫폼을 조성할 예정이고, 현 원주밝음신협 건물에 들어설 공공플랫폼은 다양한 기능을 접목해 여러 계층의 어울림 공간으로 꾸며진다고 했다.

중앙동 도시재생 공공플랫폼이 조성되면 공익사업과 수익사업이 혼합된 서비스 창출은 물론, 문화예술인·청년·여성의 창업과 보육 기능을 담당하는 공간이 될 것으로 기대된다고 전했다.

원주시청 양동수 도시재생과장은 “도시재생 개별사업이 하나하나 완료되고 있는 가운데, 공공플랫폼 사업을 비롯해 경관 조성 사업 등도 차근차근 진행해 도시재생의 전국적인 모범사례가 될 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”라고 말했다.
