이는 낮 최고 기온이 40도에 육박하는 극심한 무더위가 예고됨에 따라 코로나19 대응 현장 최일선에서 근무하는 의료인력과 시설 이용자의 건강관리와 하절기 안정적인 방역시설 운영을 도모하기 위한 것이라고 했다.

유양동 선별진료소는 평일의 경우 기존과 동일하게 오전 9시부터 오후 5시까지 운영하지만, 토요일·일요일은 오전 9시부터 낮 12시까지 단축 운영한다고 했다.

지난 9일부터 신규 설치해 운영 중인 덕정역 임시 선별검사소는 평일과 토요일 오전 9시부터 낮 12시까지 운영시간을 조정해 탄력적으로 운영하며, 이번 단축 운영은 20일부터 하절기 폭염 종료 시까지 적용된다고 했다.
