[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부] 13일 의정부시의회 오범구 의장은 가정의 달 5월을 맞이하여 가능동에 소재한 트윈스지역아동센터와 도밍고지역아동센터를 방문하였다고 밝혔다. 

이번 방문은 소외계층과 더불어 함께 살아가는 공동체 분위기를 확산하고 지역아동센터의 고충 청취 및 대안 모색을 위한 현장 의정활동의 일환으로 마련되었다고 했다.

이날 현장에는 의정부시의회 오범구 의장, 조금석 운영위원장, 최정희 의원과 사무국 직원 등이 참석하여, 시설 운영 관계자들의 노고를 격려하며 애로사항 등을 청취하는 시간을 가졌다고 말했다.

오범구 의장은 “아이들이 밝고 건강하고 자랄 수 있도록 사랑을 베풀어 주신 지역아동센터 관계자분들께 감사를 드린다.”며, “앞으로도 의정부시의회는 현장을 자주 찾아 시민의 목소리를 귀담아 들으며 지역 발전을 위해 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.

이후에도 의정부시의회는 5월 중으로 권역별로 2~3개의 지역아동센터를 방문할 예정이라고 했다.
