이날 캠페인에는 박혜련 동장을 비롯해 김용춘 지역발전협의회장, 김현수 주민자치위원장, 최명순 통장협의회장 등 관내 사회단체장 10명이 참석한 가운데 양주시 유치 주력기관으로 결정된 경기도경제과학진흥원, 경기복지재단, 경기연구원 등 3개 기관의 성공적인 유치 염원을 담은 현수막과 함께 행정복지센터 일대를 돌아다니며 주민들을 대상으로 서명운동과 홍보활동을 펼쳤다고 했다.

김용춘 회장은 “경기도 공공기관 유치를 위한 서명운동이 지난 3월부터 온·오프라인으로 시행되고 있다”며 “이번 캠페인을 통해 주민들의 적극적인 동참이 이루어져 양주시에 좋은 결과를 가져왔으면 좋겠다”고 말했다.

박혜련 동장은 “경기도 공공기관 유치를 위해 시에서 공공기관 유치 전담추진단 구성, 시민 아이디어 공모전, 온라인 서명운동을 실시하고 있다”며 “시민들의 많은 관심과 적극적인 참여를 부탁한다”고 말했다.
