[김준호 기자=삼척시] 삼척시는 시멘트 공업과 광업이 고루 발달한 시기 30만에 육박하는 인구였으나, 도농통합 직후인 1995년엔 인구 수가 9만명으로,  현재는 6만 3천여명까지 인구가 지속적으로 감소하고 있다

시에 따르면, 3월 7일 오전 10시 삼척시장 집무실에서 삼척도원새마을금고, 블랙밸리컨트리클럽과 함께 저출산 극복을 위한 상생협력 협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약은 저출산 장기화로 출산 친화적인 사회환경을 조성하여 저출산 문제를 극복하기 위해 마련됐다.

이번 협약을 통해, 도계읍에 주소를 두고 출산한 부 또는 모에게 1인당 20만 원의 출산장려금을 지원하게 되며, 다자녀의 경우 출생아 수에 따라 각 20만 원을 지원 받게 된다.

특히 이번 협약은 지역사회가 함께 참여하여 저출산 문제를 극복하고자 민관이 공동으로 노력한다는 점에서 남다른 의미를 가진다. 

한편, 지난 2017년에 협약을 맺은 이후부터 지난 2022년까지 91명이 1,820만 원의 출산장려금을 지원받았다.

이명기 기획조정실장은 “이번 협약을 통해 지역 내 기관들과 저출산 극복을 위한 협력을 강화하고 출산 친화적인 분위기를 조성해 나가겠다.”고 말했다.

The agreement was designed to overcome the low birth rate by creating a childbirth -friendly social environment by prolonging low birthrates.

Through this agreement, we will support the maternity incentives of 200,000 won per person or the mother who gave birth to the address in Dogye -eup.

In particular, this agreement has a unique meaning in that public -private people are working together to participate in the local community to overcome the low birth rates.

Meanwhile, since the conclusion of the agreement in 2017, 91 people have been supported by childbirth incentives of 18.2 million won by 2022.

Lee Myung -ki, head of the Planning and Coordination Division, said, “We will strengthen cooperation with local institutions to overcome low birth rates and create a maternity -friendly atmosphere.”
