[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 22일 경기도북부소방재난본부는 최근 의정부시 사패산 정상 부근에서 50m 암벽 아래로 추락한 60대 남성 등산객을 신속한 출동과 수색으로 무사히 구조했다고 밝혔다.

북부소방재난본부에 따르면, 지난 17일 오전 10시경 사패산을 오르던 A씨(남, 60대)가 정상 부근에서 50m 암벽 아래로 추락하는 사고가 발생했으며 암벽 맞은편에서 이를 목격한 등산객이 이를 119에 신고했고, 북부소방재난본부는 신고 접수 후 북부특수대응단 특수구조팀을 신속히 현장으로 출동시켰다.

특수구조팀은 추락한 A씨의 위치를 정확하게 파악하기 어려운 상황이었지만, 빠른 판단과 강인한 체력을 바탕으로 신속히 암벽등반을 하여 암벽 중간에서 나무에 걸쳐있는 A씨를 발견했으며 구조 당시 호흡곤란, 안면부 출혈, 척추손상 등 중증 외상이 의심되는 상황, 구조팀은 빠른 응급처치 후 곧바로 경기소방헬기를 이용해 병원으로 이송했고 현재 A씨는 갈비뼈, 치아 등 골절로 병원 치료 중이며, 생명에는 지장이 없는 것으로 알려졌다.
