[김준호 기자 = 영월군] 벽화 프로젝트는 한 명의 청소년으로부터 시작 된 이번 벽화 프로젝트는 마을의 노후 된 벽을 보수하고 그 위에 예쁜 그림을 그려 마을을 화사하게 변화시키기 위하여 기획되었다. 

지난 3일 영월군청소년문화의집((사)아름다운청소년들)의 청소년들이 마을의 노후 된 벽에 벽화를 그렸다. 해당 벽화 프로젝트를 기획한 청소년은 7월부터 시안을 그리고, 벽을 내어주실 지역 주민을 만나는 등 마을 변화를 위한 준비를 해 왔으며, 지난 3일 10명의 청소년이 함께하며 첫 번째 벽을 완성했다.

벽화 프로젝트를 총 지위한 원세진(주천고 1학년) 청소년은 “문화의집에서 청소년들이 하고 있는 환경 보호 활동을 주제로 다양한 생태계를 보호하자는 의미를 담고 싶었습니다.”라며 벽화의 의미를 전했다.

또한, 벽화 프로젝트는 영월문화도시지원센터에서 진행하는 지역사회 문제 해결을 위한 실험 활동 ‘2022. 영월 미래세대 리빙랩’ 공모사업에 선정되어 예산을 지원받아 진행되었다.
