[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 이상호 태백시장은 1일 0시 시민의 안전을 책임지고 있는 ‘스마트시티 통합운영센터’를 전격 방문해 시에서 운영 중인 1,200여대의 CCTV와 스마트시티 통합플랫폼 서비스에 대한 운영상황을 살펴봤다고 전했다.

이상호 태백시장은 태백시에서 운영중인 CCTV 현황과 통합운영센터의 역할 및 기능, 태백시 스마트시티 통합운영센터만의 특화된 서비스 등 센터 운영에 대한 전반적인 내용을 경청했다고 했다.

또한, 사건사고 및 구급상황 발생시 실시간으로 센터로 접수되어 112 상황실과 119 상황실로 현장영상 공유와 출동지원 등 신속한 대응으로 업무를 수행하고 있는 근무자들을 격려했다고 했다.

이어 며칠전 집중호우로 인한 피해 현황을 보고받고 향후 재발방지 대책을 철저히 세워 시민 안전과 생활에 불편함이 없도록 처리해 줄 것을 다시 한번 강조했다.
