[서종협 기자 = 태백시] 태백시(시장 이상호)는 농업인과 태백시민의 편의를 도모하기 위해 오는 10월 1일부터  임대농기계 배달서비스를 실시한다고 밝혔다.

대상자는 태백시에 주소를 둔 농업인 중 자기차량이 없거나 운반이 어려운 이용자, 시민 등이다.

시는 농업인의 비용 부담 완화를 위해 농기계 임대료를 50%까지 감면해주고 있으나 배달서비스를 이용할 경우 감면혜택은 없으며 별도 수수료는 발생하지 않는다.

또한 농업인과 시민들의 농기계 안전사고를 예방하기 위해 현장(방문)배달 시 농기계 조작 숙련 정도를 점검하고, 안전하게 농기계를 사용할 수 있도록 현장에서 충분한 안전교육을 실시할 계획이다

시 관계자는 “배송사업으로 원거리에 있는 농가의 임대농기계 운반 불편을 해소하고 농기계 안전사고 예방과 운송시간 절감 등으로 농가의 노동력 절감과 편의를 크게 높이겠다”고 말했다.
