[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 북부지방산림청은 지난 28일 제34대 남성현 산림청장이 취임 이후 처음으로 북부지방산림청을 방문했다고 밝혔다.

남성현 산림청장은 북부지방산림청의 주요업무 추진 성과와 현안사항 등을 청취하고 조언과 의견을 아끼지 않았다고 전했다. 

또한, 직원들과 소통을 통해 새 정부의 산림정책 추진 방향을 공유했고 산림재해와 현안업무로 지친 직원들을 격려하는 시간을 가졌다고 했다.

남성현 산림청장은 “선진산림경영을 선도하는 북부지방산림청은 그동안 적극적인 행정을 통해 지속가능한 산림자원의 순환에 앞장서 왔다.”며, “앞으로도 중추적인 역할이 되어 산림 르네상스 시대를 여는 데 힘써주길 바란다.”고 당부했다.
