[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 속초시 기후환경네트워크는 제52회 지구의 날과 제14회 기후변화 주간, 제27회 환경의 날을 맞아 행사주간에 탄소중립 50일 실천운동 일환으로 다양한 이벤트와 행사를 진행한다고 밝혔다.

'지구의 날 소등행사'는 오는 4월 22일 밤 8시부터 10분 동안 관공서·공공기관·주요 시설물들의 조명을 소등하며, 각 가정마다 자율적으로 동참하면 되고 또한 오는 4월 22일부터 6월 10일까지 50일간 진행되는 '탄소중립 50일 실천운동'은 페트병과 라벨 분리해 버리기, 쓰지 않는 가전제품 플러그 뽑기, 텀블러 이용하기, 장바구니 애용 중 2가지를 실천 후 인증사진을 속초시 지속가능 발전협의회 홈페이지에 올리면 50명을 선착순으로 선정하여 1만원권 강원 상품권을 1매씩 증정하며, '친구야! 걸어서 학교가자' 챌린지 역시 오는 4월 22일부터 6월 10일까지 열리는데 대상은 초·중학교 신청 학급으로 50일간 워크 온 '걸어서 학교가자'에 가입한 학급별 평균 걸음 수로 순위를 매겨 상위 1위~20위 반은 30만 원 강원상품권, 개인 20명은 1만 원권 문화상품권을 지급한다고 전했다.
