[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 22일부터 원주시는 제52회 ‘지구의 날’을 맞아 제14회 기후변화주간을 운영한다고 밝혔다.

제14회 기후변화주간은 ‘지구를 위한 실천: 바로 지금, 나부터’라는 슬로건으로 오는 4월 22일부터 4월 28일까지 일주일간 진행되며, 시는 이번 기후변화주간 동안‘소등 행사’,‘플라스틱 줄이는 담아가게’, ‘기획 전시’ 등 3가지 행사를 진행한다고 했다.

‘소등 행사’는 지구의 날 당일인 오는 4월 22일 저녁 8시부터 8시 10분까지 10분간 전국적으로 진행되며, 원주지역 관내 공공기관, 공동주택 및 일반 가정이 참여할 예정이라고 했고, ‘플라스틱 줄이는 담아가게 행사’는 시의 보조를 받은 원주지속가능발전협의회가 관내 공동주택 11개 단지와 함께 진행하며, 세제를 담을 수 있는 용기를 가져오는 주민에게 주방용 세제를 제공하고, 작은 재활용 플라스틱을 가져오면 치약짜개로 교환해준다고 했다.

‘NO 플라스틱? NO 플라스틱!’ 기획 전시는 오는 4월 19일부터 6월 26일까지 원주시 기후변화 홍보관에서 플라스틱의 올바른 분리배출 방법, 제로플라스틱 생활 실천방법 소개 등 일상생활 속에서 시민이 플라스틱 줄이기를 실천할 수 있는 내용을 주제로 진행된다고 전했다.
