[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 의정부시청소년재단 대표이사 이한범은 ‘지구의 날’ 탄소중립 공감대를 형성하고 미래청소년들에게 물려줄 환경을 지키는데 재단 직원들이 앞장서고자 저탄소 생활 실천 서약에 전 직원이 적극 동참하여 주목을 받고 있다고 밝혔다.

4월22일부터 4월30일까지 의정부시청소년재단 전 직원은 일회용품 사용안하기,  대중 교통 이용하기, 전기용품(냉·온풍기, PC등) 적정 사용하기 등 재단 전 직원 적극적으로 동참했고, 또한 의정부시청소년재단 각 시설에서는 22일‘지구의 날’관련 다양한 청소년 사업을 진행하였다고 했다. 

청소년수련관에서는‘의정부청소년 지구환경 살리기 지구를 구하는 능력 창작소’(환경정화 및 체험 활동), 청소년상담복지센터에서는‘탈 플라스틱 캠페인’(환경사진 및 그림 전시), 새말청소년문화의집에서는‘매일이 지구의 날’(온라인 환경보호 캠페인), 흥선청소년문화의집에서는‘지구의 날 청소년이 지구를 구하다’(환경정화활동)이 진행 되었다고 했다.

이한범 대표이사는“이번 행사를 통해 소중한 지구 환경을 보호하고 전 직원들과 청소년들이 기후변화에 관심을 갖고 저탄소 생활 실천에 동참하는 계기가 되었다.”라며 “또한 지구를 위한 작은 실천인 지구환경사랑 캠페인에 재단 전 직원이 동참하여 감사 드린다.”고 전했다.

이 외에도 의정부시청소년재단에서는 미래사회의 주역인 청소년들에게 환경보호 관련 모니터링 및 각종 체험활동 기회를 제공하여 청소년들로 하여금 지속적인 환경보호를 실천 해 나갈 예정이라고 전했다.
