[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 태백시는 대기질 개선을 위해 ‘소규모 사업장 대기오염 방지시설 설치 지원사업’을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 대기배출시설 중 소규모 사업장의 노후된 대기방지시설 교체 및 개선비용의 90%를 지원하는 사업이며, 태백시는 올해 3억의 예산을 투입해 5개 사업장을 지원할 계획이라고 전했다.

지원 대상은 비용 문제로 방지시설 구축에 어려움을 겪는 중소기업 중 대기환경보전법에 따른 4∼5종 배출사업장이라고 전했다. 

미세먼지 원인물질인 먼지·황산화물·질소산화물 등 배출사업장과 10년 이상 낡은 방지시설을 운영해 온 사업장 등에 우선 지원할 방침이며, 단, 3년 이내에 설치된 방지시설이나 5년 이내에 정부에서 지원받은 시설은 지원에서 제외된다고 했다.

지원받은 업체는 해당 방지시설을 3년 이상 운영해야 하며, 방지시설모니터링을 위한 사물인터넷(IOT)을 부착해야 하고, 신청은 오는 30일까지 태백시청 환경과로 방문 또는 등기 우편으로 접수하면 된다고 전했다. 

태백시 관계자는 "그동안 노후 방지시설을 교체하지 못했던 소규모 사업장의 많은 참여를 바란다" 고 말했다.
