[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 태백시는 취약계층의 주거환경 개선을 위해 ‘2022년 슬레이트 철거 및 지붕개량 지원사업’을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

태백시는 올해 12억 원의 예산을 투입하여 슬레이트 철거 150동, 지붕개량 140동, 비주택 철거 30동 등 총 320동을 지원할 계획이라고 전했다.

지원금액은 주택 슬레이트의 경우, 취약계층은 한 동당 전액 지원이며 일반 가구는 한 동당 최대 352만원, 비주택 슬레이트 경우 한 동당 지붕 면적 200㎡ 이하면 전액 지원한다고 했다.

지붕개량 사업의 경우 취약계층은 한 동당 전액 지원이며, 일반가구는 최대 400만 원을 지원하고, 신청기간은 오는 14일부터 내달 11일까지이며, 신청방법은 신청서, 위치도와 사진 등을 지참해 건축물 소재지 행정복지센터로 방문 접수하면 된다고 했다. 

최성민 환경과장은 “노후된 슬레이트 처리를 지속적으로 지원해 안전한 주거환경을 조성할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
