[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 원주시가 2022년 발달장애인 주간활동서비스 제공기관으로 강원도 지적발달장애인복지협회 원주시지부를 선정했다고 밝혔다.

발달장애인 주간활동서비스는 발달장애인이 지역사회 다양한 장소와 기관에서 자신이 원하는 일상 활동을 스스로 선택하고 동료와 함께하면서 낮 시간을 의미 있게 보내도록 하는 서비스이라고 전했다.

기존 원주시에 주간활동서비스 제공기관이 3개소가 있었으나 서비스 수요가 꾸준히 늘어 이번 심사위원회를 통해 추가로 기관을 선정하게 됐으며, 기관은 3년간 서비스를 제공할 수 있고, 이번에 선정된 기관은 문막지역에 위치해 문막읍·부론면·지정면(기업도시) 등 시내와 떨어진 지역의 발달장애인을 대상으로 서비스를 제공할 계획이며, 주간활동서비스 신청은 대상자의 주소지 행정복지센터에서 할 수 있고, 연중 접수 중이라고 했다.
