[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 원주시는 발달장애인 주간활동서비스 제공기관으로 ‘어울림’을 최종 지정했다고 밝혔다.

지난 1월 서비스 제공기관으로 신규 지정된 강원도지적발달장애인복지협회 원주시지부가 서비스 제공을 위한 기준을 모두 갖춰 ‘어울림’이라는 기관명으로 최종 지정된 것이라고 했다.

‘어울림’ 제공기관은 문막지역에 위치해 문막읍과 부론면, 지정면 등 도심 외곽지역의 발달장애인도 서비스를 쉽게 이용할 수 있게 됐으며, 이번 서비스 제공기관 최종 지정으로 원주시 발달장애인 주간활동서비스 기관은 3개소에서 4개소로 늘었다고 전했다.

한편, 발달장애인 주간활동서비스는 발달장애인이 지역사회 다양한 장소와 기관에서 자신이 원하는 일상 활동을 스스로 선택하고 동료와 함께하면서 낮 시간을 의미 있게 보낼 수 있도록 지원하는 서비스이며 주소지 읍면동 행정복지센터에서 신청할 수 있다고 했다.
